Nippon Electric Glass Co., Ltd. has developed a highly efficient ultraviolet (UV)-blocking coated glass for large-sized applications, such as for store lighting. The glass, which can measure up to 600 × 400mm, is coated with a special multilayer film. The multilayer film on the coated glass does not deteriorate, while the coated glass maintains optical properties even at the ambient temperature of 500℃. The substrate glass below the multilayer film can be chosen freely based on the intended use, usage environment, and other requirements.
