Jimmie Rodgers (1897-1933) was dubbed the “Father of Country Music” and was namongst the frst group of inductees into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1961, but nRodgers’ musical output (over 100 songs in a six-year career that was cut short by tuber-nculosis) was much too diverse to be pigeonholed into one genre or another.
