The journey from Basel Airport to Weil am Rhein takes about ten minutes by car. The route is lined by pitched roof houses with their gables facing towards the road. At the destination Herzog & de Meuron have elongated this primal type of the domestic house, inserted these units into another and stacked them to create an abode for the "Home Collection" of a medium-size furniture manufacturer.
