'Great Amber', concert hall building, Liepaja, Latvia - Entering a new era

With this building for a multi-functional concert hall in Liepa-ja, Lithuania, architect Volker Giencke has succeeded in creating an iconic building with a structural elegance and spatial dynamism. For the town on the Baltic the "Great Amber" is a symbol of its cultural reorientation and, above, all of its long musical tradition.
