Building: grafting

摘要

When the context is an existing building, we strive to graft our architecture to it like a shoot to a root, creating a single plant with intermingled sap that lives together as one. The projects in this group, which also includes "espai Barbe-ri" (Barberi Space), the RCR studio published in a+u 15:11, are about interventions on existing buildings: irrigation channels, buildings, walls, boundaries and ruins. The varied programmes range frorn recreation to art to restaurants.
