Alvaro Siza and Eduardo Souto de Moura

This issue features two architects, Alvaro Siza and Eduardo Souto de Moura. 45 years has passed since the duo started collaborating together back in 1974. In an essay written by Nuno Grande, it elaborates on Siza being closer to an organicist sensibility (that of Dionysus) and Souto de Moura to a rationalist sense (that of Apollo). As such the buildings they design together never resemble the work of either, but rather represent a "third" personality.
