In your writings you have argued that 'contemporary architecture' has lost its way, and that we no longer understand the role of architecture. Architecture is more multifarious today than ever, so it is impossible to speak of contemporary architecture as a single category. There are numerous internationally known architects, such as Glenn Murcutt, Steven Holl, Tadao Ando, Peter Zumthor, Tod Williams and Billie Tsien, the Patkau's, and Rick Joy - just to mention a few names - who make architecture that emancipates and empowers the inhabitants and strengthens their experience of the real.
