A HOUSE OPEN TO THE CITY

摘要

In this project, we designed two houses: a transparent two-story house and solid three-story house. We situated these at opposite ends of the site, which is bordered in on three sides by other buildings. This left a park-like courtyard space at the site's center. When we first started working on this design, we carefully observed our clients as they went about their daily life more open to the city, so we decided to divide the house in two according to its public and private functions. We believe that blending urban and residential environments will help realize architecture that lets people live free of boundaries.
