Postcard to Israel

As you know we share our love to the same city, Tel Aviv. But here I live in a mirror-image of that city, Melbourne. Tel Aviv is a compact city, where the streets are winding through and the majority of the buildings are three-storeyed apartment blocks with a columned ground floor and a little communal yard with vegetation at the front. Melbourne, I found, is very much different. I was amazed by the vastness of that city and its conformity. Out in the suburbs, the junctions of the main roads all look the same. The streets are wide and the footpaths ample. But what strikes me the most is the presence of the detached house. This is the Australian Dream, and it is just everywhere.
