GROUND CONDITION EFFECTS ON DYNAMIC RESPONSE OF THE 1995 DINAR EARTHQUAKE IN WESTERN TURKEY

Turkey is located in one of the most active earthquake zones. The movement of the Arabian and African plates greatly influences the tectonics of Anatolia (Figure 1). About every ten years, Turkey suffers a big earthquake such as the 1939 Erzincan, 1966 Varto, 1967 Adapazari-Mudurnu, 1970 Gediz, 1971 Burdur and Bingol, 1992 Erzincan, 1995 Dinar and 1999 Marmara earthquakes [1,2].
