摘要

The comment of Trtik and Lehmann correctly states that future implementations of high-resolution neutron microscopes based on focusing mirrors will need to take into account gravitational fall of cold neutrons. A short response is that a standard method of gravity correction with the help of prisms is directly applicable in this case. Thus, we are completely justified in all the claims made in our paper.1 Before discussing details of gravitational corrections in future high-resolution facilities, two comments are in order. First, we could safely ignore gravity in our paper, as confirmed by the experimental results and simple estimates in the comment, because the angular resolution of the lens dominated the image resolution. Second, our article serves as the initial proof-of-concept work that one can form high quality neutron images using Wolter optics. As such, the concept was proved and points to many avenues, which require further development, including correcting for gravity in some cases.
