摘要

This paper discusses young people's everyday use of communication technology and the implications for the construction of socialization and organization of mobility. The new generation is well equipped with new gadgets, smartphones, and apps for organizing their everyday life. It is increasingly common for them to organize things "on the go", and keeping in touch with peers is already part of their daily routine. This article shows how technology is shaping mobility and posing new demands on socialization and the construction of identities. Information technology does not produce obliviousness toward (social) spaces, but rather generates new ways of managing communication and mobility.
