Consultants Meeting to Develop a Roadmap for the Implementation of Modern OIE Principles and Methods of Diagnostic Test Validation

The meeting was held from 6 to 9 September 2010 in Vienna, Austria. Diagnostic tests are an essential tool for the early detection and the control of animal diseases. To be confident in the test results, the diagnostic tests carried out need to have been validated fit for the specific purpose(s) for which they arc used, in veterinary diagnostic laboratories applying a quality management system.
