Membership Survey Report

This is the final article for the Recent Member Survey (five or fewer years' membership). Next month, we will begin reporting on the second survey of Career Track members (6 to 15 years' membership). Thanks again to all of you who have responded to our surveys. The third study will focus on those members with 16 or more years' ASA membership (Long-Term Member Survey). It is targeted to begin around the end of May. The fourth survey will be with international members of the ASA. It will probably begin some time after the JSM in August. If you have ideas for topics for the international survey, please send them to Sangster.Robie@bls.gov. I will share them with my committee members (Carolee Bush, Tim Keyes, Amy Luo, Brian Meekins, and Carolyn Shettle). We would like to thank the Social and Economic Sciences Research Center (SESRC) at Washington State University for conducting the survey. Dr. John Tarnai is the director of the SESRC and the chief investigator for the studies.
