Lachenbruch Completes Committee Appointments

Having made more than 160 appointments since January, 2007, ASA President-Elect Peter Lachenbruch has completed his appointments to the existing ASA committees. Among those ASA volunteers accepting these appointments in July were three new committee chairs. The first was Jean D. Opsomer of Colorado State University, who will chair the Journal of Agricultural, Biological, and Environmental Statistics. This is a joint appointment made by Lachenbruch and Tom Louis, president of the International Biometric Society. Opsomer also serves on the ASA Finance Committee.
