In recent years, reports on the state of our industry have included consideration of both infrastructure and workforce needs. For leaders in the water utility industry the biggest concern has long been the risk of system failures as arnresult of aging infrastructure. The safety of our communities depends on the reliability of our water system infrastructure. However, replacement and rehabilitation of our aging infrastructure is not keeping pace with the rate at which it is deteriorating.
