HCWA Employees Complete Project WET Training Workshop

Some of the most popular and successful community events hosted by the Henry County (Ga.) Water Authority (HCWA) are those focused on water education, such as lessons taught to Henry County third graders during field trips to HCWA's Cubihatcha Center. The activities of Project WET (Water Education for Teachers), a training curriculum for water industry public education, were featured during last fall's field trips of 3,000 third graders from Henry County Schools. Three HCWA employees took part in the latest Project WET workshop hosted by the Georgia Association of Water Professionals. The Project WET training received by Mimi Reynolds, Denise Ballard, and Tara Brown covered diverse water topics, such as the importance of watersheds, water quality, and water conservation.
