Environmental and Ecological Statistics with R

The book Environmental and Ecological Studies with R is based on a set of teaching materials that the author, Song S. Qian, accumulated at the Nicholas School of Environment of Duke. In the preface, the author admits something we [statisticians] already know, but hate to admit, "statistics is often cited as the subject that is least liked and ineffectively taught, especially for students outside the mathematics/statistics area." He also admits something else in the preface: statistics is "often the subject upon which ecologists make mistakes."
