摘要

Examining the relationship between university structure and scientific progress is an ambitious and worthwhile research program, one that can lead to principles for good institutional design as well as positive predictions about the kinds of university designs that we can expect to observe in practice. There appear to be many literatures within economics and other disciplines that have relevant insights to lend. This is surely an area of research that should not be confined within the boundaries of any existing research clusters.
