'I would like to think that we are one of the pioneers when it comes to the current wetcleaning industry," says Tracy Mummert, customer service manager for IPSO USA. "We manufacture equipment specifically for wetcleaning. However, all of the equipment we offer with the microprocessor is quite capable of doing [shirts]." Mummert disagrees with drycleaners who believe wetcleaning is a new process. "Wetcleaning is not a new industry," he says. "It goes back to the days of the wooden washer, because it involved strictly little mechanical action and temperature control."
