Kaeser Compressors' new, redesigned Kaeser Flow Controller (KFC), available for systems ranging from 250 to 6200 scfm, creates more effective storage by accumulating compressed air and only delivering the air needed for production, the company says. The KFC unit responds rapidly to fluctuating demand and maintains constant system pressure downstream. More stable air pressure helps eliminate artificial demand and reduces air losses through leaks. The storage system can help drycleaning and laundry facilities save up to 30% on their compressed-air costs, Kaeser says. Stored, compressed air can satisfy spikes in demand without pressure drops at the point of use, the company says. Plus, the KFC can be installed easily in new and existing systems without reconfiguring piping, the company adds.
