Artfully crafted cake stands can be more than simply the foundation of a design's structural support system. Just as a brilliant work of art is highlighted when encased in an appropriate frame or a beautiful floral arrangement is enhanced when paired with a fitting vase, the right cake stand completes and even complements a cake's design. Often, there is no suitable object or stand ready-made due to the size or weight constraints of more elaborate designs. In such cases it is best to construct a stand for the specific cake design. Cake stands can be simple, grand, modern or romantic, but most importantly they should add to the visual aesthetic of the overall design vision.
