The accompanying article by former deal-maker Jim Freund is adapted from his new PLI book, "Anatomy of a Mediation," out this fall. But the book not only has its roots in the author's work when he was a corporate partner at Skadden Arps, it also has strong links to this newsletter and its publisher, the CPR Institute. First, one of Anatomy's appendices is based on "Mediation Skills: Common Ground and Divergence between Global Conflicts and Commercial Disputes," Freund's previous Alternatives article.
