Flying the Dream of Africa

To say Rwanda has been transformed over the last decade would be an understatement. In 1994 the East African nation hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons, ravaged by genocide against the Tutsi (which claimed the lives of more than one million people), civil war and a widespread humanitarian crisis. It was perhaps the darkest moment in the country's history, but the nation's fortunes have changed significantly. Led by President Paul Kagame, Rwanda now boasts one of the fastest growing economies on the continent, fuelled by a multi-faceted investment plan that focuses predominantly on the tourism, services and aviation sectors.
