Brazilian Super Tucanos at Green Flag-West

A PAIR OF Forga Aerea Brasileira (FAB, Brazilian Air Force) A-29Bs prepares to take off ahead of an Exercise Green Flag-West 19-8 mission at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. Six Super Tucanos trained together with A-10Cs from the 124th Fighter Wing, Idaho Air National Guard, during air-land integration manoeuvres from June 3-14. Green Flag-West is held jointly by the USAF and US Army and is designed to mirror current conditions in overseas contingency operations. Flying twice daily, the A-29s operated over the US Army National Training Center at Fort Irwin, California. All three squadrons from the FAB's 3° Grupo de Aviagao participated in the exercise: 1°/3° GAv 'Escorpiao' from Boa Vista, 2°/3° GAv 'Grifo' from Porto Velho and 3°/3° GAv 'Flecha' from Campo Grande.
