Aircraft of the Armee de I'air (French Air Force), including a Dassault Rafale and four Embraer Xingus, took part in a flypast over York Minster in Yorkshire following a dedication service for a new memorial to that service on October 20. The memorial - the first to be dedicated to a foreign air arm within an English cathedral - commemorates the losses of two French heavy bomber squadrons, No.346 Guyenne and No.347 Tunisie, which operated from nearby RAF Elvington in the last year of World War Two.
