The present work is devoted to reviewing recent cases of shock wave/boundary layer laminar interactions over compression ramps with sharp leading edge (two-dimensional and axisymmetric concave geometries), and t making a contribution to the understanding of the physical features and controlling mechanisms of the flows by means of extensive numerical simulations and comparison with experiments.
