Lord Foster unveils Thames airport plan

Architect Lord Foster and engineers Halcrow have unveiled a concept for a new UK transport terminal -which would see a four-runway airport, costing some £50bn being created in the Thames estuary. The airport, which would be able to handle 150m passengers a year, would be connected to the rest of Britain by a 'spine' - handling cargo and communication links in an integrated transport system.
