Visualization programming for batch processing of contour maps based on VB and Surfer software

摘要

With rapid development of engineering numerical computation methods and extensive application of finite element analysis software, the demands of post-processing of calculation results are more and more high. The quality and efficiency of plotting contour map are important factors in analyzing of calculated results and in multi-schemed comparison. In this paper, automatic plotting of contour maps is achieved by realizing of compatibility of VB6.0, an embedded programming method in VB software, with Surfer 8.0, a powerful plotting function provided by Surfer software. Based on the approaching introduced in this paper, a batch processing visualization software for contour maps is developed. That can improve the efficiency of the post-processing of finite element analysis significantly.
