摘要

Electronic skin (e-skin) is a flexible circuit of sensors that can quantitatively detect a variety of stimuli and correlate these signals with a spatial mapping. The development of a practical e-skin solution would be a significant milestone in the field of flexible health monitoring electronic devices. To conform to the human skin, e-skin devices should be flexible and stretchable. The devices should ideally be transparent so that they are visually imperceptible when worn. Beyond their mechanical and optical properties, the sensors need to, in practice, operate at low voltages so that the devices can be driven using portable thin-film batteries.
