2010 ISDC CONFERENCE THE SPACE COMMUNITY'S FAMILY REUNION

This Spring, as they have done every year for the past 28 years, members of the space community came together at the National Space Society's flagship annual event, the International Space Development Conference. People from every branch of the Space Movement, from NASA Administrator Charles Bolden to would-be and established space entrepreneurs, from astronauts to high school students and interested senior citizens came to Chicago for a discussion of the state of space. From the keynote address by FAA Deputy Associate Administrator for Commercial Space Transportation George Nield to the final panels on Breakthrough Science and Technology four days later, about 850 individuals listened to more than 150 speakers on four programming tracks. With so much content to choose from, it would be literally impossible to take in the entire event. What follows are just a few of the highlights that made ISDC 2010 an event to remember.
