Pressure switches for R744 systems

Emerson climate technologies has released a new range of pressure switches for R744 (CO_2) applications with fixed switch point settings. The distinct features of the pressure switches make it the ideal product in today's market for use in CO_2 systems, the company says. The CS3 acts as a protection device for compressors in situations where the system pressure exceeds the desired limits. The pressure switches are available in both automatic and manual reset versions. The automatic reset versions offer a narrow differential between cut-out and cut-in, reducing the idle time of the compressor in case of sudden pressure increase. The contacts are designed as single pole double throw for control/alarm function and status reporting. Moreover, the pressure switches feature a two million cycle reliability.
