New Utopia for joint venture

Johnson controls - Hitachi Air Conditioning, a joint venture between of two of the biggest manufacturers of air conditioning and refrigeration units in the world, has brought its new range of Utopia (ⅣⅩ) Centrifugal (RASC) systems to the UK market. The new Centrifugal unit requires no outdoor space to function. Instead, it is installed indoors with field-supplied ductwork - making it ideal in scenarios where the installation of an air conditioning unit in an external space is unusable. "Owners of listed buildings or buildings with outdoor space restrictions are often limited in their choice of air conditioning unit," said Martin Richards, UK & Ireland national manager at Johnson Controls -Hitachi Air Conditioning. "By installing the Utopia (ⅣⅩ) Centrifugal unit with up to four indoor units, end-users will receive the full benefits of a highly efficient split system, whilst circumventing the challenges in complying with building regulations."
