Anecdotal reports suggest that as many as one in three visitors to UK forecourts don't buy any fuel, making the sector an important hub for communities as a location where a wide range of products and services can be accessed. By far the largest category in independent forecourt stores within the convenience sector is the refrigerated cabinet aisle, with 73% of all stores having between 5m and 15m of cabinets.
