Fears of a job cull in the accountancy sector continued tc grow as it emerged that one mid tier firm planned to cut up to 5% of its staff, including partners. Mazars, currently the 12th largest firm in the UK with a fee income of £109m, is understood to be planning a 5% reduction in headcount, with a loss of around 60 jobs among its 1,230 strong staff. It is understood that this would include a number of partners, and that the cuts would be across the whole of the business.
