Working for Silvio Berlusconi is surely one of the more interesting career paths an accountant can follow. Leaving aside the duties usually associated with the profession that Giuseppe Spinelli presumably was concerned with, he is rumoured to be responsible for paying the throng of beauties that attended the infamous 'bunga bunga' parties the Italian former president is meant to have held. If that wasn't enough, the 71-year-old Spinelli, along with his wife, was taken hostage by gangsters recently and ordered to ask his boss for €35m (￡28m) ransom. Fortunately they were released unharmed 24 hours later.
