Old boy networks of former Big Four staff are hampering the efforts of other firms to break into the larger listed company audit market, it is claimed. Papers published by the Competition Commission reveal that 60% of UK audit committee chairmen and 66% of chief financial officers had once worked for one of the four major accountancy firms.
