The CJEU has delivered its verdict in the lengthy Littlewoods litigation (C-591/10). Littlewoods had its appeal referred to the CJEU when the UK High Court was unsure if the application of simple interest, under section 78, VAT Act, to errors by HMRC, was sufficient recompense.
