A BALANCING ACT

Iwas honoured to win the accountancy category of the Women in the City awards in 2011. It was great to be recognised alongside a range of really impressive women from other business sectors. The strength of the shortlist underlines the fact that also comes through in many other awards and initiatives: there are many women who are achieving great things in business - often at the same time as raising a family. This is really encouraging not least because, with frequent media attention on the lack of women at board level, it is easy to take the view many women are still shut out from success in the professional world.
