摘要

Cross-cultural management (CCM) is not an easy subject to teach, primarily because there is this notoriously tricky element-"culture"-that you can rarely satisfy diverse stakeholders altogether, no matter how hard you try to treat it fairly. Being a psychologist or anthropologist taking a positivist or critical perspective, one always finds something to complain about in approaching the concept of "culture." Then, what constitutes the core content of the CCM domain never reaches consensus. One group of educators believe that CCM is comprised of organizational behavior and human resource management subjects in cross-cultural contexts. Another sees CCM as a complementary perspective to the economics-driven international business field. And the list can go on. Very few instructors adopt a textbook for the whole course."
