IntroductionElbow stiffness is the most common complication following trauma of the elbow. This is because the elbow joint is susceptible to effusion, hemarthrosis, scarring, and capsule thickening due to its small intracapsular volume. Surgical treatment is therefore necessary to release soft tissue contracture.
