摘要

IntroductionAdequate apical sealing ability of the root canal filling material is an essential requisite for a successful endodontic therapy. Various endodontic irrigants are used for the removal of smear layer before obturating with a solid core material, thereby, reducing microleakage and improving apical seal. Resilon, a synthetic material was developed as an alternative to replace the conventional gutta-percha (standard root canal filling material) and traditional sealers for the obturation of endodontically treated teeth.
