Location of 18F-FPRGD2 uptake. 18F-FPRGD2 PET/CT images (A: CT; B: PET; C: fused PET/CT) from an 80-year-old patient with bilateral coxofemoral osteoarthritis. 18F-FPRGD2 uptake is higher in the right joint, including the region of articular cartilage identified by the red arrows (SUVmax 2.3 target SUVmax-to-muscle SUVmax ratio 3.1). Based on CT images, degenerative changes are also more advanced in the right coxofemoral joint (a). 18F-FPRGD2 PET/CT images (A: CT; B: PET; C: fused PET/CT) of a 74-year-old patient showing osteophytes at the anterior margins of the L3–L4 disc (pointed to by green arrows) and L4–L5 disc (pointed to by red arrows), yet only the latter showed high 18F-FPRGD2 uptake (maximum standardized uptake value SUVmax 3.2; target SUVmax-to-muscle SUVmax ratio 6.5) (b)
