BackgroundDepot medroxyprogesterone acetate (DMPA) is an accessible contraception with high efficacy among adolescents. However, concern of weight gain can impede DMPA use. The objective of this study was to determine prevalence of excessive weight gain associated with DMPA injection in young women and its predicting factor.
