Traumatic spine injury is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in trauma patients. Open surgical procedure is associated with increased blood loss, surgical trauma, and increased recovery period. The goal of minimally invasive surgery (MIS) is to minimize iatrogenic trauma caused by open surgery.
