Time for a renewed focus on the role of cleaners in achieving safe health care in low- and middle-income countries

MBA, MHS, is founder and director of KS Healthcare Consulting Ltd and has worked as a consultant to the World Health Organisation since 2005 where she was one of the leads for the development of its IPC guidelines. Most recently she has supported WHO’s WASH in health care and quality programmes. She is past president of the Infection Prevention Society of the UK and Ireland, Adviser at PeoplesUni, Steering group member of Healthcare Information for All and honorary adviser at the Tropical Health Education Trust.
