摘要

The relationship between attention and consciousness is one that is crucial forunderstanding perception and different types of conscious experience, and we commend thisanalysis of the topic by Pitts [ ]. We have also examined this relationship closely (e.g.[ ]) and would like to point out a fewpotential contradictions in the Pitts . paper that requireclarification, particularly in the attempt to reconcile aspects of recurrent processingtheory (RPT) with global neuronal workspace theory (GNWT).
