Demonstration of anti-tumour bystander killing with prodrug-preloaded suicide gene-engineered tumour cells: a potential improvement for cancer therapeutics

GCV incubation time needed for induction of cell death in PA-STK cells. Cells were treated with 50 μM GCV for the indicated time periods. The plates were then washed and fresh culture medium added without GCV for the rest of the experiment (total of 6 days). Survival was assessed by colony counting on day 6. Each point represents the mean of triplicate assays and error bars indicate standard error of the mean
