“Where Are We Going, Dad?”, a reality show on Hunan TV station, showing us some of the most popular Chinese celebrity fathers and their children, putting them to the test to see how or if they can handle various tasks in new environments. Though the reality shows on parents-children relationship are strictly censored nowadays for fearing the hype-up of young kids for profit. However, the absence of father’s role in early childhood education presented in this TV program is worth discussing. Fathers are also expected to make more efforts to free from the traditional pattern of thought and plunge himself more into the growth of their children and family lives.
