服务民族地区社会发展：美国部落学院与大学的使命及其启示

摘要

Tribal college and universities(TCUs)are the main part of the native American higher education in the United States, are important products of autonomy and self-determination of the native American civil rights movement. According to the relevant law and regulations, tribal colleges and universities are affiliated with native American tribes. The missions of Tribal Colleges and Universities are: protection and in-heritance tribe culture, Service to the local community to promote economic and social development, and educating advanced applied talents and make trained technical skilled talents.%美国部落学院与大学是美国原住民高等教育与职业教育体系的主体，是美国两年制社区学院体系中独具特色的一个类型。按照美国相关法令法规，部落学院与大学是由原住民部落负责管治的一类特殊的民族高等（职业）院校，肩负着三个重要使命，即保护与传承部落（民族）文化，加强民族认同感；服务当地社区，促进经济社会发展；培养高级应用型人才，打造训练有素的技术技能型人才。
